Nuziveedu Seeds Ltd is the leading hybrid seed company in India. The company was established over 30 years ago and based on the strengths in research, production and distribution has become the largest seed company in India in the process surpassing several National and Multinational Seeds Companies. The company’s hybrid seeds are produced in collaboration with about 60,000 seed producing farmers and are used by 10 Million farmers across the country. The cotton seeds supplied by the company are planted in 35-40% of the cotton area in the country and contribute in producing 50% best quality cotton in India. Besides cotton, the company is also strong in the crops like Rice, Maize, Bajra, Jowar etc. The company’s R&D has evolved excellent hybrids in cotton by name ‘Bunny’ and ‘Mallika’ which produce very high quality cotton fibre besides giving high yield to the farmers. The company’s annual sales are about Rs. 500 Crores with a net worth exceeding Rs. 400 Crores as of 2007-08.

Chennai-headquartered ReGen Powertech Pvt Ltd has started manufacturing sucessfully the state-of-the-art Wind Turbine Generators in its facility in Andhra Pradesh in March. Set up on 45 acres of land at Mambattu near Tada in Andhra Pradesh, the plant will produce 1.5-mw gearless wind turbines. |
